In the U.S., nearly 70% of households own pets, amounting to around 90 million dogs and 94 million cats. Canada follows closely, with about 58% of households having at least one pet.
Europe
Around 46% of European households have pets, with a total of approximately 340 million pets across the continent. Russia leads in cat ownership, where 59% of households have a cat.
Asia
Pet ownership is booming, particularly in China, which boasts about 54 million dogs and a growing number of cats. India has around 32 million pet dogs, while South Korea shows increasing trends, with 25% of households owning pets.
South America
Brazil leads in pet ownership, with around 139 million pets, followed by Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia. The region is home to a diverse range of pets, including birds, fish, and reptiles.
Australia
Over 60% of Australian households own pets, with dogs and cats being the favourites, numbering around 5 million and 4 million, respectively.

Establish a secure blockchain base, integrate DIDs and NFTs for pet IDs, ensure data privacy, introduce token rewards, AI chat, and vendor/user apps.

Create pet profiles with health records, add appointment scheduling, community features, insurance integration, and hold token sales.
Phase 3
Months 7-9
Launch a marketplace for goods and services, provide educational resources, automate ownership transfers, and list the token on a DEX.

Add ancestry and genetic data integration, synchronize veterinary records in real-time, include emergency details, and scale user engagement and revenue.

Build a richer community with virtual adoptions, event hosting, memorial platforms, savings plans, and explore CEX listings.

He ensures we lead in delivering secure, user-friendly, and impactful solutions for pet data management and marketplace services. Javvad adores his six-month-old puppy, which has quickly become an integral part of the family.

With a proven track record of strengthening financial frameworks, optimising resource allocation, and driving profitability, Abdur ensures our operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with our long-term vision.
Known for his proactive approach and data-driven mindset, he combines financial acumen with industry knowledge to make sound, forward-looking decisions that support innovation and sustain growth. Under Abdur's guidance, financial strategy remains robust, transparent, and perfectly poised to support our mission.
Abdur already has several pet cats and is on a mission to convince himself to get more. If he can't, he can always use Petso to virtually adopt as many as he likes.

**Mat** is the technical visionary responsible for architecting and delivering a secure, scalable, and future-proof platform that unifies digital identity (DID), privacy-preserving data (ZKP), blockchain infrastructure, and consumer-grade UX.
This role sits at the core of Petso's mission—transforming how pet owners and professionals manage trust, data, and interactions globally. The CTO ensures Petso's technology is robust enough for enterprise use while remaining simple and invisible to everyday users.
Mat is both a builder and leader, guiding engineering teams while making strategic decisions that balance innovation, security, and usability.
