What makes it different
Every other collecting game gives you a starter from a menu. Petlings hashes your pet's Digital ID and grows a creature out of it. Your pet's species decides the shape. Its real recorded coat colour becomes the primary colour. Everything else comes from the identity itself — so two black dogs still hatch visibly different Familiars, and nobody else on Earth can hatch yours.

A walk, a catch or three, and a glance at the ladder. That's a session.
Your first Petling isn't handed to you — it hatches from your own pet's Digital ID. Same pet, same creature, every time.
The Wilds map shows creatures living near you right now. Everyone in the same place sees the same ones, and they change every three hours.
Get within 150 metres, read its mood, offer the right thing. Nothing to throw, nothing to miss — it simply decides to trust you.
Everyone sees the same world. The map isn't sprinkled by a server — it's calculated from where you are and what time it is, so you can tell a friend where to go and the creature will be there when they arrive. Every three hours, it all turns over.
Every creature below is a real catalogue species, drawn by the same renderer the game ships. Each country's family comes from its own folklore, landscape and animal life — and every country has exactly one Mythic.

Mythic · GustThe Petling card
In the Sanctuary, the Dex, the Exchange, the Shelter — or a long press in any picker — a tap opens the creature’s card: its species lore and favourite food, where it comes from, its six stats with everything training and care have added, and what it has been up to.
The Companion
Pick one — your Familiar by default. A free daily check-in, a treat, a claimed drill, any mode played with it, or something real happening for your pet (an approved vet record, a completed booking, an approved Care Plan visit, a proper walk) counts the day, builds a streak and writes provenance into the creature. Miss a day and only the streak resets. Nothing decays.
There is no $PET in the Companion. The reward is value: every creature now reads at the species guide plus a premium for the care it has actually had — capped at ×2.5, never falling, impossible to buy, and travelling with the creature when it changes hands.
A Mythic is about one in five hundred creatures that appear.
They form a ring, and each element softly bests the next two clockwise. The advantage is worth about fifteen per cent in a Showdown — enough to matter, never enough to decide a fight on its own.

The same Forge, in the app
Pick three Petlings, face another player's three, watch it play out. Stats come from each creature's own seed, rarity sets the floor, and element advantage swings it by fifteen per cent. Nothing is wagered and nothing is lost.
Some places grow something one person can't handle. Only Rare and above appear, and two players must contribute before it opens — then everyone who took part receives the creature. It's the best shot most players get at a Mythic.
Verified Petso businesses appear on the map as Outposts. Check in within 200 metres for 3 $PET, and roughly one visit in four gifts a creature you cannot find anywhere in the wild.
A Dex spanning 192 regions can't be finished alone. List a creature for $PET or swap it for the country you're missing. Players pay each other directly — Petso doesn't fund trades.
Heritage and Mythic creatures carry an edition number the moment you get one — #7 of 2,000. An early number is genuinely scarcer, and it travels with the creature when it's traded.
A season-long contest between countries. Score is total catches, but ties break on catches per Ranger — so a small nation of devoted players can beat a large one. Every Ranger of the winning country is paid.
The Daily Track REBUILT
The Daily Track used to settle itself: you picked a Petling, nominated a segment, and watched a time appear. Now you run it. Three lanes, hurdles, trenches, gates and overhangs — and about thirty-five seconds to get to the line.
The course is generated from the date itself, so every Ranger in the world runs exactly the same obstacles on the same day. Your Petling still matters and no longer decides it: the whole stat range is worth about four seconds, and one clipped hurdle costs over half of one.
Any Petling in your Sanctuary. Vitality sets the pace, Agility snaps the lane change, Power carries the jump and Spirit shortens a stumble.
A gate closes two lanes and a wall cannot be jumped at all — read which lane is open and go. Cutting across costs a little speed, which is what makes Agility worth having.
A tap clears a hurdle. A trench needs a held jump — but hold too long and you take off late, and an overhang punishes jumping at all. That trade is the whole game.
Land on the daily leaderboard, aim a race at a friend, or put your time on The Board for any Ranger near your rating to beat.
A hit costs you time, never the run — so the penalty and the score are the same currency, and a mythic that clips seven hurdles loses to a clean common. Entries come from catches and the distance you actually walk, never from $PET. And every run is verified rather than trusted: the app records only what you pressed, and Petso re-runs the entire course on its own servers before a time reaches a leaderboard.
Petling Fling NEW
A slingshot rescue game inside the Wilds. The Gloom has crystallised over six worlds and trapped a creature in every stage. You pull back one of your own Petlings, let go, and tap once in flight for its element's ability.
Bigger, better-trained Petlings hit harder — size is earned in Training Grounds, never bought. Every rescue is checked by Petso's servers before it pays, and the freed creature joins your Sanctuary.
Any Petling you own. Its element sets the ability, its stats set the size tier — S to Titan.
Portrait or landscape. Crystal shatters, timber burns, stone needs weight.
Burst, Splash, Slam, Dash, Chain-zap, Vine, Beam or Phase — one tap, once per shot.
The creature bursts free, your flinger gains a power point, and the rescue pays $PET.
Nothing is paywalled: three shots a stage, every world's first stage open, and a locked stage opens by clearing the one before it. Extra shots and skipping ahead cost a little $PET, which is burned — and neither ever makes a creature stronger.
Drag the creature back, release, and tap while it flies. Change the size tier and feel the difference.

Live events
A Petling Surge is a time-limited window where one real location fills with extra creatures and the odds of meeting a Rare, Heritage or Mythic one jump sharply. A park on a Saturday afternoon, a street festival, the square outside a partner clinic — for those few hours it is the best place in the country to be walking your dog.
You will know one is on without hunting for it. When a Surge opens, everyone playing nearby gets a notification, and the map shows the venue as a glowing ring with the extra creatures inside it. Everything else works exactly as it always does: you still walk within 150 metres to attune, and every catch still counts towards your quests, your streak and your $PET.
Run a pet business, a park event or a rescue drive? A Surge can be scheduled at your address — it puts your venue on the map for every player in the city. Talk to us about hosting one.
This list is live — it comes straight from the game, so it is always the real schedule.

THE DAILY WAGER
Every morning three questions appear on your map — one about the world, one about a particular creature, and one tied to whichever Surge is running. Back YES or NO with your own PETS.
There is no bookmaker. Everyone's stakes form one pot, and when the question settles the winning side splits the losing side between them, in proportion to what each player put in.
Three fresh questions are waiting, with a countdown to the moment betting closes.
Stake between 5 and 500 PETS. You can top up while the question is open, but you can't switch sides.
Only catches made after betting closes decide the outcome, so nobody can bet on something that already happened.
Your stake comes back plus your share of the losing pot, straight into your balance. If a question ends one-sided, everyone is refunded.
Here's the part players enjoy most: if you're on YES, the fastest way to win is to go outside and catch one yourself. The wager pays you to play.
A demo of the real card, running on this page. Pick a side and watch the pot — and your payout — move. In the app you'll find it behind the dice on your map.

GUIDE VALUES
All 1,535 species carry a guide value in PETS, worked out from how rare they actually are. It starts from the rarity tier and eases down as more of that species is caught around the world.
It shows up wherever a creature is on offer — including swap listings, which never carried a number before. Sellers still name any price they like; the guide simply means nobody is trading blind.
Heritage and Mythic creatures are capped editions, so they hold their value while supply lasts. Values are recomputed every hour across the whole catalogue.
THE EXCHANGE
A country's creatures only appear on its own soil, so the Exchange is how a collection crosses borders without you doing the same. Players pay each other directly — Petso doesn't fund trades and takes no cut.
Name your price. The guide value sits beside it, so buyers can see at a glance whether it's a bargain.
Leave the price blank and ask for a country or rarity instead. Swap offers now show a guide value too, so both sides know what's on the table.
Select as many as you want and list them in one go, one price for each. Duplicates show a count, so you always know what you're parting with.

Focus-Training costs 10 $PET and doubles a session. Feeding is 3. Ascension is 150. Every one of those is a spend with no counterparty — the tokens are burned, never paid to another player.
Expeditions run while the app is closed, so there is always something to collect. A trained common still will not out-muscle an untrained mythic — rarity keeps its meaning, but the gap is yours to close.
Petlings is a free location-based collecting game inside the Petso app. You walk your real neighbourhood to find and befriend creatures, and your first creature is hatched from your own pet's Digital ID. There are 1,535 species and every country on Earth has its own wildlife.
You hatch a Familiar from one of your own pets. The pet needs an active Digital ID on Petso; if it doesn't have one, the game walks you through creating it and hatches the moment it's done. The same pet always hatches the same creature.
Yes. The catalogue covers 192 regions — 190 countries plus a global commons pool and an Outpost-exclusive pool. Each national family is drawn from that country's own folklore, landscape and animal life, and every country has its own Mythic.
Two ways. Travel there and they appear on your map immediately, or trade with a player who lives there. The trade board lets you filter by country to find exactly the family you're missing.
No. Petlings is free and needs no wallet, no gas and no crypto knowledge. $PET rewards accumulate in your Petso balance. Even making a creature permanent on-chain costs only the $PET in your balance — Petso handles the rest.
Hatching your Familiar pays 50 $PET, each wild catch pays 1, finishing the three daily quests pays 3, a seven-day streak pays 10, a Showdown win pays 2 and an Outpost visit pays 3. Weekly ladders pay 50/25/10 and the Wild Cup pays every Ranger of the winning country.
The Studio lets you design a Petling yourself — shape, three colours, pattern, accessory and element — and it becomes a real creature in your collection. Forging costs 25 $PET and you can keep three at a time. Forged creatures are always Uncommon.

Three questions about the game world appear each morning — you back YES or NO with your own PETS, between 5 and 500 per question. Everyone's stakes form one pot and the winning side splits the losing side between them, in proportion to what each player staked. Betting closes at 15:00 UTC and only catches made after that count, so nobody can wager on something that has already happened. A one-sided question is voided and refunded.
From scarcity. Each rarity tier has a base value in PETS, which eases down as more of that species is caught worldwide, and never falls below a floor. Heritage and Mythic creatures are capped editions, so they hold more of their value while supply lasts. Values are recomputed hourly across all 1,535 species. The guide never limits a listing — you can price above it, below it or ignore it entirely; it exists so neither side of a trade is guessing.
